I had a breast implant removal and a breast lift by Dr. Tarola. After breastfeeding for 8 years I needed some work and wanted the implants out! He was able to take out the implants and lift them and they look absolutely fabulous. I could not be happier! My husband says that Dr. Tarola has magic hands! The scarring is so minimal. I also did the buccal fat removal and liposuction under my chin. I am so happy with how I look and so confident!! Also the whole surgery process was such a good experience and I was taken care of so well from start to finish. The nurses are amazing and you can call anytime and they will answer and get you taken care of! They also offer the laser scar BBL treatment after 3 months of the surgery which is so awesome. I highly recommend Dr. tarola and his team! They were amazing!!

Is The Cauterization Technique Utilized?
Yes, it is always preferable to remove capsules in an en bloc fashion.
Do You Remove Implants en Bloc?
The goal in surgery is to always perform a total capsulectomy unless doing so would compromise the safety of the patient which would only occur in very rare instances.
Do You Perform A Total Capsulectomy?
All sutures used are absorbable/dissolvable. If any permanent sutures or materials are found from previous procedures, they are removed during the capsulectomy/explant procedure.
Are The Stitches Dissolvable?
The incision location for the capsulectomy procedure is typically in or near the fold under the breast unless a breast lift is also being performed in which case the incisions will be around the areola and potentially vertically from the periareolar incision to the fold under the breast.

Following the removal of implants, Dr. Tarola has the option to conduct a breast lift procedure to address any potential sagging resulting from the removal of the implants.

Once you and Dr. Tarola have decided on a tentative surgical plan, our out-of-town coordinator will help you determine your travel arrangements and find accommodations near our office. A deposit for your surgery will be required to secure your procedural dates.
Pre-Operative Visit:
Your first visit with Dr. Tarola and his specialists will include your initial appointment with a physical and medical history evaluation.
Surgical Procedure:
Your procedure will be performed here at Tarola Plastic Surgery. Should your procedure require a hospital stay, we can refer you to one close to ensure a proper recovery.
Post-Op Visits & Recovery:
Out-of-town patients who may be receiving surgery should plan on staying in the Nashville area for approximately 7-10 days. Some procedures can require a shorter recovery while others may be longer.
